This purpose of the role is to oversee Production & Warehouse Operations. Ensuring that all parts in the production and warehouse processes come together to deliver the correct quality of final product/process.
Key areas of responsibility
Assist senior management in setting goals to promote company growth in line with our development strategy.
Prepare schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
Plan and lead projects in line with agreed specifications, budgets, and/or time-scales.
Oversees daily activity of the team
Provides advice and guidance to other employees
Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Improves existing systems and policies
Ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner
Employ systems to maintain and improve the high quality level of what we produce.
Promote and enforce Health and Safety in the workplace
Manage stock and inventory
Oversee manufacturing functions
Work closely with other departments to promote efficiency within the production/ warehouse areas and other areas of the business if applicable
Identify improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Manage internal and external service suppliers and oversee planned maintenance and project work
Execute plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees
Ensure departments are adequately resourcedKey Skills and Experience
3 years' experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience of managing or supervising teams
Good knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and methodologies.
Competent in monitoring and control of resources to achieve daily schedules.
Good IT skills in Microsoft packages and bespoke manufacturing software.
Good communication, management, influencing and people skills.
A proactive approach teamed with sound decision-making skills.
Strong problem solving skills
A dynamic and pragmatic approach, with attention to detail.
A relevant technical degree is desirable or suitable industry experience.
Relevant Lean or Continuous Improvement qualification desirable
Experience in ISO9001 implementation
