This is an exciting opportunity to join the my client's Supply Chain team as they restructure their group product management and procurement functions.
Reporting into the Group Product & Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of buyers and schedulers responsible for group purchasing, supplier management and stock balancing.
Scope: Managing a team of buyers and schedulers responsible for group purchasing and stock balancing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure legal requirements for reporting, such as WEEE, occurs in a timely manner
- Leading supplier negotiations
- Develop and manage supplier scorecard
- Supplier terms & conditions
- Suppler Relationship management
- Supplier quality management
- Managing inbound deliveries to avoid over/under stock situations. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Facilitating and tracking supplier rebates
Key competencies:
- CIPS qualified to level 5
- Strong background in managing supplier quality issues, RCA and CA.
- Continuous improvement experience
- Solid judgement along with decision making skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Planning, prioritising and organisational skills
- Communication skills, internally and externally
- Understand our manufacturers capabilities, capacities and priorities and put in place contingency plans where necessary, i.e. second sourcing options
- Attention to detail
- Ability to see the wider impact and plan for consequence
- Negotiation skills
- Risk management skills
