MPI have a requirement for a Logistics Expeditor in Gosport, Hampshire.
This is a permanent position paying up to £23,000 per annum dependant on experience.
Job description:
The post holder will be responsible for the timely ordering and progression of spares for the Chinook Programme at Fleetlands.
Key responsibilities and duties:
• Effectively carry out all required activities to ensure that the Chinook Business Unit product spares are placed in accordance with the ERP Planning timescales.
• Ensure that all demands are ordered via the correct supply system.
• Ensure that all updates and other relevant information is readily available via the project spares prints.
• Ensure that all spares demands are expedited to ensure the correct supply solution.
• Ensure critical/problem items are highlighted and prioritised
• Maintain good supplier/ customer relations both internally and externally.
• Adhere to our Procurement agreement - obtaining quotations and placement of demands in a timely fashion.
• Maintain effective inventory settings in conjunction with customer requirements
• Ensure all handovers are complete and up to date.
• Attend customer support meetings when requested.
• Maintain accurate material data on ERP.
• Support a climate of continuous improvement to assist Productivity, Quality and create a leaner environment
Competencies:
Essential
• Excellent communicator
• Self motivated
• Proficient user of MS Office
• ERP system knowledge
Desirable
• Proficient in LEAN
• NAVIXA system knowledge
• MJDI system user
• CIPS qualified
