The job
As a Packaging Buyer, you will be accountable for delivering value in specific packaging categories including cost, product performance, innovation, supplier performance, risk management and ethical trade amongst day to day duties such as contract management and business projects.
With a strong focus on stakeholder management and relationship building the role needs great communication skills and the ability to work at pace. Including both strategic thinking and attention to detail this role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the direction of a key element of the procurement team.
Your experience
To be considered for the Packaging Buyer role, you will possess a solid progressive track record within procurement, buying, purchasing or similar within the FMCG sector (most preferably food manufacturing).
You will be familiar with operations and NPD processes plus possess a clear rationale to decision making and the ability to balance category strategy with business needs.
You will have a confident and collaborative approach in building strong working relationships and possess strong attention t6o detail and accuracy.

The Packaging Buyer job is based in the Home Counties / East Midlands region and is paying £30,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
