Our Tewkesbury based client; a global manufacturer who are a market leader in their field is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their team.

You will actively manage the effective procurement of all site supplies and services in a timely and cost effective manner. You will Implement effective procurement and supply chain strategies and solutions in partnership with the category management team as well as provide leadership and support to the sites in relation to any purchase and supply chain issues, and escalate as appropriate.

Key Tasks:

· Ensure full commercial advantage is taken for all supplies and services across the site in conjunction with Group Purchasing guidelines

· Ability to competently utilise an ERP system to enable a devolved buying model within the region

· Oversee the P2P process and be accountable for regional compliance

· Ownership of raw material working capital, including supplier raw materials pipeline, site raw material stocks and payment term optimisation.

· Provide the link to the sales and commercial team in terms of raw materials costs and availability.

· Development and implementation of a business unit specific savings plan (made up of both category and business unit supply chain cost reduction initiatives), ensuring key stakeholders are engaged in the process. Track and manage purchasing / cost reduction activity within the business unit. Manage cross business unit / regional cost reduction projects where appropriate / delegated and work in conjunction with the relevant Category Manager as appropriate to deliver savings opportunities.

· Represent Purchasing within the region and successfully network with wider business functions - Operations, Sales, Customer services etc.

· Gather, analyse and provide site supply chain data to support local and divisional requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Awareness of materials and supply chain used in production

· Relevant experience of statistical analysis and trend analysis

· Project management and problem solving skills

· Interpersonal and negotiating skills.

· Commercial Acumen

· Organisational and priority management skills.
