Reporting to: Lab Services Team Lead

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

20 hours per week (4 hours per day)

Scope of Role :-

The main purpose of this role is to work as part of a team to deliver specialist supplies from an onsite store to ensure our customer have what they need, when they need it. We are looking for a proactive, hard-working individual with good customer service skills and ability to work flexibly as part of an established team.

Tasks

Receipt, replenishment and distribution of goods to meet end-user demands, utilising industry-leading inventory management technology (IM) to track usage and continually optimise stocking levels
Working in the laboratory environment to deliver stock to the customers' 'Points of Use' in accordance with manual handling guidelines
Working directly with customer groups to ensure company service meets their requirements through regular review and feedback.
Ensure that all environmental, secure facility and health and safety related aspects (and required trainings) are in line with both customer and company expectations
Developing good working relationships with the customers in the area being supported
Ensuring compliance of activities performed in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions within a specified area. Act and report on deviations
Writing, maintenance and updating relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training
Working collaboratively with other team members and customers
Supporting the Team Leader in the production of performance data (KPI's) for your area of responsibility
Ensure areas are clean and tidy through regular housekeeping
Attendance and active participation in the running of daily pulse boards
Willingness to cross train in other aspects oft eh site lab service to help cover colleagues holidays and periods of sickness for continuation of service

Skills, knowledge & competencies

Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work effectively
Self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work overtime where required to ensure service delivery is not compromised
Ability to establish, develop and maintain good working relationships with different levels of customers within the organisation, providing a professional level of customer service
Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
The role requires an ability to perform the daily manual handling activities required for stock management
Knowledge of stock management and order processing systems would be advantageous.
Experience working in a laboratory environment would be advantageous
