We are recruiting for a Procurement Officer to work for our client, a successful Academy Trust with 3 schools in the Bradford area. This role will be based in BD3. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for all procurement activities within the Trust and to deliver substantial savings on purchased goods and services.

Responsibilities will including but not be limited to:

·Developing the overall Procurement Policy and develop and implement the procurement systems including e-sourcing, throughout the trust
·Managing procurement processes and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance
·Develop tender strategies, contract tendering, contract award, contract management and supplier performance management
·Developing and maintaining an approved suppliers' database including annual supplier checks
· Promoting the Trust's vision and championing values
·Carrying out any duties reasonably required by the Chief Executive, Directors, Head of Finance and the Trust

Essential skills and attributes will include the following:

·A degree and/or professional qualification relevant to the post
·Membership or working towards membership of MCIPS
·Experience working with stakeholders
·Negotiation skills at a business level
·Knowledge of current UK and European procurement legislation
·Strong analytical and numerical skills
·An understanding of public sector compliance rules
·Excellent project management and report writing skills
·Willingness to undertake travel
·Ability to remain calm and cope with the unexpected
·Good organisational skills and effective time management
·Adaptable to change and embrace innovation and creativity
