Demand Planner job in Crawley, paying circa £34k. supply Chain / Logistics Qualification with experience

Your new role
As a demand planner your main goal is to contribute to continuous improvements and ensuring service levels are being met globally for service parts. You will be responsible for over 40 strategic stock locations globally including a global distribution centre and 3 regional distribution centres - which provide services parts for over 90+ countries with warranty and service contracts with mission critical response time.

The role will require your input on an entire end-to-end supply chain operation from engineering, procurement, distribution to transportation management. Individuals in this role are required to be comfortable working with quantitative methods and statistical forecasting tools. The ideal candidate will have an interest in supply chain management and keen on developing and building visualisation tools and systems and apply best practised industry standards to act as innovation driver within the supply chain organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
A candidate for this role must be comfortable communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders from various functions and must be comfortable liaising with senior managers on regular basis. You will act as subject matter expert on various supply chain related activities. Familiarity or interests in project management is crucial in this role as you'll be the project lead for various projects within the team.

  • Physical network design (route designing and warehouse location designing)
  • Monitoring and providing feedback on global spares market performance.
  • Understanding of market operational costs and work to address inefficiencies
  • Inventory optimisation and obsolescence management
  • Data and statistical modelling
  • Data review and data integrity maintenance.
  • Global parameter management & trend analysis.
  • Review and interpret field support material requirement to mitigate risk to the logistics function
  • New part introduction planning & engineering change management.
  • System maintenance and development (INFORM Add*ONE, Qliksense, INFO M3, Salesforce).
  • Maintaining all designated process maps, work instructions and documents relevant to the job.
  • Act as single point of contacts for all supply chain related activities at regional level.
  • Provide support for the rollout of any future strategic stocking locations.
  • Accurately compose and publish key performance metrics for global audience.
