Business Operations Manager (Care Services Sector)

Up to £65k dependent upon experience 

East Midlands (Derbyshire)

Our client is a leading provider of care and support services in the East Midlands. With a long-standing history, the business works to provide support services covering: personal care, household tasks, assistance in engaging with services in the local community and personal conversation and companionship. Due to retirement the business is looking for someone to immediately step into the role of business manager – with full responsibility for operational and financial performance.

Reporting to the Directors, the Business Manager has the following responsibilities:

·Overall business leadership and performance management

·Development and achievement of the Company Business Plan

·Setting, monitoring, and achieving financial budgets

·Full profit and loss responsibility

·Developing and agreeing business vision, values, strategy and objectives

·Leading on all tenders for new business

·Setting standards to ensure excellent quality services are provided to customers.

·Effective recruitment and development of senior managers

·Maintaining effective governance systems

·Development and maintenance of effective relationships with all major stakeholders

·Providing business advice and recommendations to the Directors

·Leading and motivating managers and staff.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced business manager who has operated in a senior manager role in the services sector in a competitive business environment. They will have:

·A Degree or equivalent in business management, or related subject

·5 years+ experience in a senior management role in a services business, ideally related to adult social care.

·Proven ability to lead business growth and profitability

·Experience of leading multi £M competitive tenders

·Outstanding communications skills at all levels

·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·Proven negotiation and influencing skills
