GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a well established Engineering / Manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to implement strategic financial & operational control measures, across the business implementing change management & fresh work flow processes driving efficiencies & high levels of customer service.

This is a key stakeholder position overseeing teams withing Finance & Accounts, Sales, Customer Service & Warehouse / Logistics, producing MI Reports & KPI's analysing the business performance across all key functions, developing & implementing continuous improvement plans to drive efficiencies from a financial perspective & output perspective.

You will be a CIMA or ACCA time served finance / account professional who has additional operations management experience across varying areas of a business.

Direct Reports: 6 across the key areas listed above

Financial Responsibility:

* Completing all financial statutory reporting and year end accounting returns completing them in accordance with regulations, accurately and on time to comply with government deadlines

* Overseeing & carrying out all financial transaction processing for sales, purchase and nominal ledgers

* Overseeing the outsourced Payroll function, including pension and benefits collation with accurate processing and timely submission of all regulatory returns

* Accurate preparation of the monthly management account analysis, including budgets, P&L and margins

* Currency management and liaison with the wider Group

Operational Responsibility:

* Effectively implement efficient business systems and working processes / work flow for all areas of the business, maximising the use of technology

* Ensuring the customer service is excellent in all areas of the business

* Ensuring the parts warehouse stock levels, pick, pack, despatch and goods in are managed efficiently and effectively

* Ensuring health and safety is implemented throughout the site in accordance with risk assessments

* Manage, motivate and develop the team to fulfil their job descriptions, meet their objectives to achieve excellent customer satisfaction outcome

* A key part of the leadership team working in partnership to achieve the long term goals required for future development and growth of the business.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Chartered financial qualification, ideally CIMA or ACCA or other

- Considerable experience of a finance manager role as well as operational duties

- Manufacturing, Engineering, Import, Distribution or similar business sector experience

- Experience of implementing and embedding systems in a business

- Process re-engineering & change management experience is essential

- Strong experience of people management

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, vlook up etc)

- Strong ERP system skills
