Business Manager - Procurement for the NHS

Office based in either London or Sheffield

up to £50k per annum

Our Business Manager role will provide first class support to our category Tower 4 (Orthopaedics & Ophthalmology) reporting to our Tower Director and National Category Manager and providing a link between the Tower, Corporate functions and Trusts.

As well as providing proactive and diligent support in gathering data, maintaining trackers, preparing work-flows and tower reports, the Business Manager will ensure that all documents capture up-to-date progress on savings and other data, and that the tower is in line with key dates and KPIs at all times.

The Business Manager will also lead and manage multi-projects across the Tower and wider CPP, and will have exposure to NHS Trusts and collaborative Trust Groups.

A natural relationship builder, our Business Managers have exceptional organisation and co-ordination skills, are self-motivated problem solvers with advanced use of Excel to analyse data, spot trends and anomalies, and are skilled at creating Powerpoint presentations for SMT meetings.

Educated to degree level (ideally Business degree or a related subject) the successful candidate will have previous business and project management experience in a complex contract driven environment

Who you are

  • Have extensive multiple project management experience in a complex, contract driven environment
  • Previous experience gained in a procurement environment is essential
  • Educated to degree level - business degree or related subject
  • Results focused, responding naturally to pressure and demanding deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work quickly, accurately and confidentially
  • Highly developed numerical and analytical skills with strong Excel knowledge and Powerpoint
  • Confident and articulate with an engaging manner and great energy, comfortable with delivering complex reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Able to demonstrate good commercial acumen, attention to detail
  • Already a car driver, willing to travel frequently - to other CPP offices and NHS Trusts if required
