A Supplier Development Manager is required to join a leading automotive company based in Coventry. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the supply chain companies develop their processes in line with the design intent of the customer.
Your other responsibilities will include:
-Leading the supplier development strategy
-Carrying out supplier validation audits
-Ensuring the suppliers processes are able to support production plans
-Monitoring processes of suppliers and making changes where possible
-Supporting the purchasing process
-Managing both supplier and internal and external stakeholder relationships
-Use customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as: Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, Measurement System Analysis and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
Management
-Managing, coaching and leading a high performing Supplier Quality team
-Provide leadership, direction and support
-Set department objectives
-Set KPI's and yearly targets
As the successful candidate, you will have:
-Significant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment (ideally automotive)
-Prior experience of working in Quality Assurance
-Six Sigma skills
-Industry related experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
-Excellent management skills
-High quality communication skills
