Supply Chain New Product Development Manager - Holmfirth - £40,000

Provide leadership and direction with regards to planning and supply chain issues to ensure excellence is achieved and maintained, with the purpose of managing raw materials and finished good stocks supply and related processes to ensure Service Level Targets are attained.

Responsibilities - Supply Chain

1. Manage day to day activities ensuring consistency of process, service and reporting using Production planning systems and tools.

1. Maximise the effectiveness of the Production team, equipment and materials to produce within planned schedules at minimal cost.
2. Initiate Production worksheets for processing of products including reworks and new product development orders establishing the correct routing and machine settings.
3. Plan workflow, manage multiple priorities and meet daily production targets

1. Develop a culture of `can do`, encourage the sharing of best practice and proactivity with the aim of raising the standard of customer service
2. Support, develop and coach the team members enabling them to fulfil their potential whilst actively contributing to the delivery of KPI`s, targets and budgets.

1. Monitor the capacity to deliver orders and meet customer demand.

1. Assume responsibility for stock holding and inventory flows.
2. Analyse demand information, make recommendations and modify stock models in line with the order and lead time profile to maintain adequate stocks levels.
3. Report on delivery performance towards key customer accounts, detailing service and targets and implement corrective actions to deliver excellence.

1. Identify risks in stock cover, highlight significant issues and propose actions to resolve in a timely manner thereby achieving service Level Targets.

1. Investigate and respond to customer complaints to ensure appropriate resolution.

1. In process Quality control liaison to ensure final product compliance.

1. Management of stocks and stock taking processes.

1. Management of Raw materials to ensure achievement of plan KPI`s are maintained.

Responsibilities - New Product Development

1. Conduct product and process trials in conjunction with customers and in line with business requirements.
2. Develop Process Routes to maximise efficiency of production whilst maintaining product quality integrity and compliance to regulatory requirements
3. Research and introduce methods of work including training requirements and Health and Safety compliance on new products introduced to the business.
4. Oversee Quality Control processes and implementation on new product introduced to the business.
5. Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding technical and development projects.
6. Manage development projects from inception through to conclusion
7. Design implement and audit quality management processes
8. Develop technical documents including procedure and instruction manuals.
9. Conduct product and process trials.
10. Data analysis, gathering and presentation for review meetings.
11. Assist in the commissioning of newly installed equipment.
12. Develop and document best working practices for production on newly installed equipment in line with ISO requirements.
13. To oversee and conduct training of personnel as required in newly developed production processes in line with Health and Safety regulations.
14. Conduct internal audits as required.
15. Conduct machine and product trials as requested

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

- Proven experience in influencing internal and external stakeholders at senior levels of an organisation
- Significant experience in leading and managing a team
- Knowledge and experience of training and developing people
