Procurement Manager (Software Licenses)

ValueLicensing specialises in the procurement and selling of pre-owned Microsoft Volume Licences to private and public sector businesses throughout the UK and Europe. About the role:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of pre-owned Microsoft volume licenses. They will also be responsible for strategic procurement activities including actively seeking out new suppliers using a pre-planned sourcing strategy. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic sourcing partners.

This role will involve end to end procurement activities starting at the sourcing of new suppliers, licensing due diligence, offer and negotiation, preparation of purchasing documentation, and booking of purchased licences onto the ValueLicensing internal systems. The role will include working closely with other functions and especially sales / finance to understand product demand and Finance for forecasting as this is fundamental to any purchasing strategy. (Right product at the right price and at the right time.).

About you:

- Experience with contract management and the negotiation and implementation of bespoke contract terms.
- Strong account management and relationship building skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Licensing or software licensing in general.
- Ability to manage a number of projects at the same time and prioritise own workload.
- Maintains effective relationships with suppliers, partners and 3rd parties.
- Ensures compliance of licences through thorough due diligence and attention to detail.
- Inspires suppliers and gains their commitment through the promotion of ValueLicensings core competencies.
- Improves organisational processes that support the customer / supplier needs.
- Maintains an industry wide perspective pertaining to strategy.
- Develops sustainable strategies that support the over business strategy.
- Has a clear action plan to implant strategy.
- Establishes clear, challenging and achievable objectives.
- Aligns resources and the organization to achieve objectives.
- Regularly reviews and communicates progress against objectives and adjusts as needed.
- English (German, Italian, French and Spanish would be a bonus).

Desirable:

- Certifications / Qualifications / Experience in Microsoft products (enterprise level) e.g. Enetrprise agreements, software assurance etc.
- Certifications / Qualifications / Experience in a technical sales role (software related).
- Experience in highly competitive and complex negotiations (procurement or sales related).
