We are a market leading Manufacturing company and due to continued growth, we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Project Procurement Manager to join for an 18 Month Fixed Term Project.
As our new Project Procurement Manager, your role will be to manage the completion of all procurement related activities on a key cross-functional manufacturing transfer program. The role will include participating in the cross-functional program Core Team, coordinating various procurement resources, engagement and management of suppliers and global contract manufacturers, tracking and reporting against defined schedules and goals specific to Procurement, issue/risk identification and mitigation, project activity prioritization.

Main Responsibilities
*Collaborates with the other members of the program Core Team to provide coordinated efforts and efficient project implementation
*Manages the reporting and tracking of a portfolio of projects and initiatives in the program
*Leads project reviews, including meeting preparation, facilitation, and follow-up notes/actions
*Identifies program level risks and delays, raises issues or concerns, and provides plans to mitigate those risks
*Provides templates and logs to facilitate the communication and confirmation of action completion
*Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication across the team and drives accountability
*Accountable for communicating program status to the Procurement and Operations Leadership Team
*Coordinates the execution of all component and sub-assembly transfer projects in the program and personally leads the transfer of PCB assemblies and final assembly, inspection and testing activities
*Following the successful transfer and serial manufacturing ramp-up with the preferred partner, hand-over activities to the Category Procurement Manager in charge, which will mark the closure of this program

Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience along with a strong track record of project and programme management and certification in Project Management
*Ideally a solid understanding of electro-mechanical, electronic, plastic injection molding and precision machining categories from a role as procurement category manager, commodity manager, lead buyer or similar
*Track record with product transfers to and contracting of EMS providers / Contract Manufacturers
*Advanced project / program management with demonstrated experience in managing scope and schedule from initiation through closure
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and corrective actions
*Strong influencing and communication skills within a highly matrixed and multi-cultural organization
*Ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and working under pressure with tight timelines and moving targets
*Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of time
