Job Title - Supply Chain Administrator

Location -St Albans

Salary - £29,000

We have an amazing opportunity to join an award-winning business as an operations supervisor.

Must haves; PROCUREMENT, LOGISTICS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL! Order processing, supplier management, import and export and stock control an inventory management experience. Strong Knowledge using SAP.

Our client is an incredibly reputable business, seeking a methodical, extremely hands on supervisor to oversee and be part of the operations function.

The right individual will have a flexible approach with a strong ability to use their initiative and get stuck in with the team as well as review the existing processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day operations. The majority of sales are among the UK market, but a percentage are shipped overseas.

Duties

Procurement;

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Raise and track purchase orders
  • Occasional negotiation on pricing and payment terms
  • Assist with product registrations and compliance

Customer Service;

  • Supervising a team of 2; Covering duties in times of absence; Order processing, providing product support to customers, dealing wit returns and inbound/outbound communications

Logistics and Warehouse;

  • Ensuring smooth and cost-efficient transportation of goods
  • Being resourceful to deal with import/export legislation - using sufficient government websites, contacting relevant third parties for information
  • Ensuring stock levels are adequate and dealing with hold stock & out of stock situations
  • Acting as key contact for the companies warehousing provider

To be considered for this role you must-

  • Must have previous procurement, customer service and logistic experience
  • Supervisory experience of a small team
  • A logical worker with a strong ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent communicator
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail
  • An excellent multitasker with a 'hands on’ approach
  • Great commercial awareness and business sense
