SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

My client is a main building contractor operating within East and South East of England. They operate out of a Herts Head office and have a regional office in Surrey which is used to facilitate their place on the Department for Education (DfE) Framework (Lower Value Band) in the South East. Turnover for 2019 is expected to be c£60m.

Contracts range from £1m to £10m in value and include a mixture of new build, refurbishment and fit-out within the schools, higher education, healthcare, commercial and high-end retail sectors.

ROLE

* To oversee and manage company's overall supply chain by developing and maintaining good relationships with both new and existing supply chain partners

* Understand the competencies of the supply chain and address any short-falls by introducing new supply chain partners or through educating / training required by our existing supply chain partners

* Manage and monitor performance through the Company's Procurement Portal via post contract KPIs and Lessons Learnt Workshops

* Keeping company details, including financial and insurance documentation up to date on the portal

* Offer support to operational staff whenever needed

* Introducing improvements where appropriate within areas of responsibility.

ABOUT YOU

* At least 5 years experience within this role

* Has a successful supply chain management track record

* Ability to forge and develop new relationships with sub-contractors

* Must be IT literate (Experience with an Estimating software package preferable)

* Excellent communications skills

* Live within 45 minutes of Head Office near St Albans - ie. Herts, Beds, Bucks, N London

TERMS

* Basic salary: £60-65,000 (depending on experience)

* Benefits: Bonus (discretionary) + 25 days holiday
