A UK market leader within speciality and world foods, is now looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their established and successful team.

My client is one of the UK’s most progressive food companies, supplying a leading range of world food brands to the retail, wholesale and food service sectors throughout the UK and Europe.

This new and exciting opportunity will provide the responsibility to ensure full availability of a range of products to enable the commercial team to fully serve customer requirements while keeping within the inventory targets as set by the business.

Job Role & Duties:

- To maximize availability and minimize inventory/clearance across a range of products from key suppliers

- To create requirements plan by product and supplier (including reworked products), in line with agreed stock cover targets

- To manage product availability on a weekly basis, identifying products which are under or over stocked and take appropriate action

- Plan for known peak and special trading periods and monitoring and interpreting of the trends by Customer and Product level

- To communicate weekly with all suppliers to ensure plans are current

Person Specification:

- Experience working within FMCG

- Previous Supply Chain knowledge/experience (preferably with Import/container experience)

- Excellent communicator – verbal and written

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

- Educated to degree level (preferably with a degree in technical or business discipline)
