BUYER – INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING – CREWE – UP TO £30,000 BASIC SALARY + BENEFITS
We are working with a fantastic Crewe based manufacturing client. They are a well established company and a market leader in their industry.
Due to their continued success and growth they are now looking to recruit and experienced Buyer to join their team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sourcing new suppliers and products
Negotiate prices for products and services
Source special customer requirements
Purchasing of materials
Confirm orders placed with key suppliers
Monitor orders to ensure timescales are being met
Minimise invoice queries and supplier payment delays by maintaining system pricing data
Maintain accurate data on the inhouse system
Build, develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships
Co-ordinate the return of unsuitable items
Manage all required documentation
Expedite deliveries
Consolidate shipments
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
Previous experience as a Buyer
Ideally obtained or working to relevant qualification
Ideally experienced working in a similar role in an engineering company
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Excellent attention to detail skills
Willingness to learn
Strong negotiation skills
Planning and control
PACKAGE AND BENEFITS
£28,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
Flexi time in operation
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Free car parking
