Retail Supply Planner, Purchasing & Merchandising, Letchworth, Up to £28k & Bens

Based in our central offices in Letchworth and as part of a high performing team supporting the Planning Manager, The Stock Availability Planner will be responsible for ensuring that products appear as the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time within a 700 location retail estate, overseeing delivery and distribution of stock, liaising with suppliers and supply chain key stake holders.

The Stock Availability Planner will:

·Work closely with the demand planning, inbound, outbound and commercial teams to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.

·Develop, maintain and reviewing centre stock profiles for over 700 retail centres, in line with business requirements, to include commercial targets, promotions, brand switches, business streams

·Resolve queries from retail centres on profiles, capacity, replenishment etc, implementing strategy for the launch of new brands at centres

·Maximise retail estate space in terms or profitability, range, price, width and depth of stock available an provide reports to illustrate market coverage and share

·Review and take corrective action on surplus stock, slow stock and aging stock, working closely with logistics to manage outbound volume in line with businesses requirements

·Work closely with inbound team to ensure that retail availability is maximised though availability and net stock calculations

·Plan seasonal and promotional stock at retail centres, monitoring slow sellers and taking action to remove from profiles, reduce prices or return stock as necessary

Therefore you will be:

·From a Purchasing, Supply Chain or related environment with an understanding of inventory management, replenishment and supply planning in a distribution environment.

·Highly numerate with experience of advanced planning and transactional management systems and strong MS office skills to include excel, able to interrogate data bases and provide timely and accurate reports & management information

·An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills, able to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management
