Buyer
My client provides a complete service in supply of fabrication to the offshore, subsea, power generation, wind farm and general engineering. Due to recent success they now have a requirement for a Buyer to join the team.
The role:
Work with the stores team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
Assist the Project Managers with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis.
Stock control and budgeting.
Strong negotiating skills with suppliers to get the best possible pricing and payment options and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones.
Comprehensive understanding of Sage 50, Excel and MS Word.
Efficient and accurate use of Sage system to monitor all open purchase orders and ensuring the products are delivered on time.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Ability to work well with a team
