General Manager Required. Our client is a well-established chauffeur driven car company who provide transport to corporate and private operators at Heathrow airport. Following a period of rapid growth, they are now in the market for a new General Manager.
As the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all staff members to make sure operations align with the vison of the company and our client’s customers. You will take leadership of the fleet and logistics function, supporting the day to day department activity, ensuring the team remain motivated, focussed and work efficiently to deliver all aspects of our client’s fleet performance.
Duties:
* Acquisition and disposal of fleet in line with business needs. Includes both risk fleet and non-risk
* Working with the team to ensure optimum utilisations on the company fleet
* Cost authorisation and control of all relevant work to the vehicles in line with budget
* Control of end-of life fleet cost
* Ensure smooth running of the facilities operations including financial management & performance management
* Maintain effective communications at all levels including senior management to provide a window into areas of responsibility/customers
General Manager Position Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior management logistics-based role
* Experience of managing a team of drivers and vehicles is essential
* Ability to influence and coach a team
* Transport Manager CPC Licence is highly beneficial
* Full UK driving license
General Manager - Position Remuneration
* Salary £40,000 - £45,000 (Dependant on experience)
* Monday – Friday 08:30 – 18:00 (Some weekend work may be required)
* 30 days holiday, including bank
* Company pension scheme
* Parking on site
