Joining our Strategic Sourcing team, which combines experts in both procurement and finance, you’ll find yourself in a very collaborative environment. And, while your main focus will be on logistics, security and corporate services, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a broader selection of areas. Our work varies tremendously throughout the year, so you’ll be applying your procurement knowledge and stakeholder-management skills to an equally varied remit.
There are two roles on offer here, both with similar responsibilities. The biggest difference between them is one of line-management. In one of the positions, you’ll oversee 4 Category Managers and look after their development.
Take your broad experience and skills further
We’re looking for people with a thorough understanding of business strategy, and excellent engagement skills. You’ll be doing a lot more than desk work with us – you’ll be collaborating with people across the department and the organisation. You’ll need an MCIPS qualification (or part-qualification) and strong people skills. Just as importantly, you’ll know the differences between private and public sector procurement work and be both realistic and excited about the boundaries and challenges faced by a public body like ours.
