PROCUREMENT - ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - GLOBAL MARKETING CATEGORY LEADER - ICONIC FTSE 100 FMCG BRAND - CENTRAL OR WEST LONDON WITH FLEX WORKING - £75+ BENEFITS
This multi-award winning £Multi-Billion global FMCG enterprise has been providing the world with much loved brands for over 30 years and, with an aggressive target of doubling in size by 2021, their addressable indirect spend is about to skyrocket beyond the current £5 Billion. As a result the Board are pouring investment into best-in-class procurement and the Global Marketing Category is at the top of their agenda.
As Global Marketing Category Leader you will:-
- Be responsible for the Brand, Marketing and Communications spend category (£350M) across the entire enterprise, driving best-practice procurement across the following sub-categories: Experiential, Advertising, PR, Creative Agencies, venues, gifts & promotions, Digital
- Lead across a truly global remit, across mature (e.g. Digital) and immature (e.g. Experiential) subcategories
- Develop and implement the Global Marketing category plan including Vision, Strategy and Implementation Road Map
- Have a "hands-on" approach with complex global deals (ranging from £1M - 50M individual deals) generating significant £Multi-Million cost savings for the Group
- Collaborate with executive and board level stakeholders to ensure that Procurement plays an integral part in the Group's expansion plans
- Be recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Brand, Marketing & Communications categories, coaching others in best-practice strategic sourcing and category management and helping with their professional development
To qualify for this Global Marketing Category Leader position you must have:
- An impressive track record of progression within your Procurement, Sourcing & Category Management career to date
- A hands-on, proactive and commercially savvy approach
- Expertise across the Marketing & Communications categories, with a CV that clearly demonstrates sub-categories and spends managed and cost savings achieved
- Strong global/multi-regional experience is a must for this role
- Strong degree from a good university (or equivalent)
- MCIPS, Prince 2, MBA preferred but not essential
