FOOD PROCUREMENT BUYER - GLOBAL FMCG - WEST LONDON - £35-45k + 25% BONUS + BENEFITS

Due to multiple internal promotions, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious food buyer to join an award-winning procurement function, autonomously managing a c.€50m spend the most complex category areas (co pack meals, bakery, pizza and ambient). Joining the organisation during a period of unprecedented growth, the successful buyer will be tasked with executing the sourcing and selection strategy whilst building and maintaining trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Food Procurement Buyer Role Profile -

• Execute the sourcing and selection strategy for Co-pack Meals, Bakery, Pizza and Ambient using the 7-step Strategic Sourcing Process
• Support the implementation of both Local and Global NPD projects across the Group
• Take ownership of forecasting for [category] and ensure it is maintained and relevant stakeholders updated accordingly
• Build and maintain trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring a professional and consistent approach is taken

• source from both European and Global markets for both current products and New Product Development (NPD) for their category to ensure constant supply

Food Procurement Buyer Requirements -

• Familiar with strategic sourcing plans
• 2+ years' experience in a procurement function
• Demonstrated track record of working in the FMCG industry and delivering significant savings preferably in a food category.

• Proven track record of delivering strong Procurement interventions from supplier identification, selection, evaluation to management
