Procurement Manager, Indirects – Hertfordshire

Overview:

A well-known consumer brand in Hertfordshire is looking to grow its strategic sourcing function, and as a result of this, is looking for an ambitious Procurement Professional to join and work across a broad range of indirect categories. These include FM, Marketing, Logistics and HR.

This role reports directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and will give you the opportunity to grow into a role where you will have total ownership of one or more of these category areas. This company also offers flexible working to allow you to accommodate personal commitments.

What the role involves:

1. As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing key strategic contracts, identifying opportunities for consolidating spend and undertaking tendering and contract management opportunities for a wide range of requirements.
2. Lead a wide range of indirect projects ensuring category spend is managed effectively and to drive quality and cost savings for the organisation as they continue to grow.
3. Manage a new supplier on boarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
4. Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.
5. Share best procurement practice within the procurement team and across the business.
6. Identify opportunities for cost savings across the business.

The person we hope to find:

1. Strong end to end procurement sourcing and category management experience.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. The ability to work with all levels of management and stakeholders.
4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Well organised, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritise quickly.
6. Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision
7. Commercially aware and financially astute.
8. Broad procurement category management experience.
