£35k - £40k + Bonus + package

Our client runs the procurement function and manage supply chain for equipment and services for multiple high-profile NHS hospitals. With a recently signed-off expansion plan that will double the size of their impressive their Procurement team, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing establishment at a key time in their history.

They seek a procurement professional with experience in public/private sector sourcing in direct clinical procurement (radiology, surgical equipment etc). Initially working in a supportive capacity on high-profile and complex procurement projects, you will be developed and nurtured into managing your own category in a realistic timescale of 12 - 18 months.

Key responsibilities:

• Maximise value of all non-pay expenditure from the supply chain by leading on the clinical procurement category
• Take full accountability of assigned strategical clinical projects in line with the company's plan
• Line-manage a buyer and share purchasing responsibility within the clinical category
• Sourcing suppliers, negotiating robust SLAs and awarding contracts
• Manage senior internal and external stakeholders (Deputy Directors of Finance, Operations and Procurement as well as key suppliers)

Responsibilities:

• Experience in sourcing clinical equipment such as radiology/ machinery and surgical equipment
• Experience of people management, coaching and supporting staff
• Confidence when managing stakeholders
• OJEU
• Working towards CIPS
• Degree Educated 2.1 and above
• Knowledge of procurement platforms such as Ariba, SAP and Oracle
