Senior Category Manager, Construction - Construction and Infrastructure Major - Central London - £60k - £75k DOE + competitive package
Our client is one of the world's largest construction firms with offices all over the world in every continent and has worked on some of the most prestigious construction and infrastructure projects in recent times. With plans to grow further, they are now looking for a Senior Category Manager to establish new offices, factories, warehouses and more across the UK and abroad.
Procurement has played a large part in their success in recent times and as such they are growing the team, and by 2020 will expand to over 40 countries. This role will be based in their UK office in the heart of London for their UK-based clientele, though in the coming 12 - 18 months you will work on global turnkey projects.
Duties:
- Managing end to end procurement projects such as building offices, factories, warehouses and retail units, rail expansion and more
- This will also involve sourcing the services that go in each
- Creating and influencing the overall procurement strategy within the category
- Be heavily involved in the tendering process, lead negotiations with suppliers and award tenders accordingly
- Work with stakeholders at all levels including C-suite
To be considered for this role, the Senior Category Manager, Construction will be:
- First and foremost, a procurement expert across Engineering/Construction/Rail/Infrastructure
- Familiar with the OJEU framework, with a CV showing demonstrating your experience
- Experienced in working for a matrix organisation and influencing senior stakeholders
- A university graduate with a 2.1 degree and above from a leading university, or equivalent from an international university

- NEC3
