Procurement Manager- Greenfield position! Sussex

Fancy working for a greenfield start up organisation in Sussex? Founded just over 5 years ago, the company is growing and they are looking to bring in their first Procurement Manager to spearhead Procurement activities across the board. They are looking for someone who has worked in a broad range of categories; either direct or indirect services and striving for growth and development. This role will see you report straight to on of the board members and be part of the business’s exciting journey!

What the role involves:

• As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing key strategic contracts, identifying opportunities for consolidating spend and undertaking tendering, contract management opportunities for a wide range of requirements.
• Lead the Procurement function ensuring category spend is managed effectively, to drive quality and cost savings for the organisation as they continue to grow.
• Manage a new supplier onboarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
• Manage the material supplier base to ensure maximum quality and cost savings for the business.
• Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.
• Lead the improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of ‘just in time’ deliveries throughout the supply chain.

The person we hope to find:

• Strong end to end procurement sourcing and category management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and stakeholders.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Well organised, process and team-oriented, with the ability to prioritise quickly.
• Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision.
• Commercially aware and financially astute.
• Broad procurement category management experience.
