An exceptional career opportunity for a world class Site Operations Director. A cash-rich, acquisitive and highly ambitious company intends to develop their UK Manufacturing site into a world class production facility – this is a good to great mission building on the existing successes to deliver excellence in customer delivery, safety, quality and cost management. 

The US parent is looking for an ambitious leader to articulate the group vision for the UK site and drive a growth agenda. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations in the US, you will have full site responsibility and considerable latitude to make an impact. 

Able to gain respect quickly, your key objectives will be to develop a strong cohesive team and company culture that will pick up on the existing Lean initiatives and take them to the next level. Direct and transparent in communicating good and bad news, your gritty and robust style must be matched by a coaching mind-set to develop the talent around you – succession planning is essential as success in this role could quickly lead to a larger European Leadership role as the business acquires new sites. 

If your career journey to date demonstrates excellence in transforming and leading manufacturing and assembly operations, we would like to hear from you. We would expect you to have an advanced manufacturing, technical or business education, ideally to MBA level, although outstanding results speak louder than accreditations. Preferably, you will have experience within a world class manufacturing business culture, ideally having worked with a US parent and business operating systems.
