Head of Vendor Management and Procurement

Up to £65,000 + comprehensive package

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading supplier within its industry. The Head of Vendor Management and Procurement reports to the CFO, leads a wide range of vendor management activities and procurement activities. This is a hands-on role and will provide support and guidance across both the retail and digital segments of the business. The successful Head of Vendor Management and Procurement will need to maximise existing vendor relationships as well as to be the lead on driving new agreements.

Head of Vendor Management and Procurement responsibilities include;

  • Managing complex vendor agreements and relationships while driving the strategy with key suppliers
  • Be the leading figure in negotiating/ renegotiating new or existing agreements
  • Reviewing supplier adherence to contractual terms while delivering a favourable and commercial outcome for both parties
  • Initiate and lead RFI's or RFP's (or other sourcing methods) to prepare the necessary agreements

Head of Vendor Management and Procurement must;

  • Have proven experience of fostering and developing partnerships with all stakeholders and vendors
  • Be proven in building business cases and managing risk
  • Be skilled in articulating legal/ contractual information in a transparent manner
  • Possess finely tuned communication skills to challenge, negotiate and drive the commercial agenda as required
