Procurement Manager - Catering Services/Kitchenware or Retail

Our client a Major Global Retail Marketing Organisation are now seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to join the team, taking global spend responsibility for the categories for catering services, kitchenware and homeware.

Key responsibilities include:

Liaise and work closely with stakeholders in the group and within the product development process

Source and develop competitive manufacturing partners that offer high service levels in terms of production capacity & flexibility, quality management and communication.

Work closely with the Marketing department to develop new products that meet commercial needs and provide the sales team with this information to facilitate the selling process and management of queries on product specifications

Manage, review supplier relationships leveraging those relationships to build strong customer service and value add and to ensure maximum cost savings

Negotiate and manage supplier contracts

Management of new product introduction process & critical path

Attend regular range development and review meetings with the Marketing, Brands, Creative and Supply Chain teams

Proactively manage the range development Critical Path process, working closely with the Sourcing & Quality teams to ensure that all elements are completed and ready for launch

Identify and assess suitable new sources of supply and products and travel as necessary within the EMEIA region

Negotiate with vendors for new product launches and major program

Liaise with the Supply Chain team on production of risk analysis

Assist the Head of Sourcing & Quality EMEA and keep informed of daily operations

Person specification:

Strong experience of Sourcing ideally of Catering services, Kitchenware or Homeware/Gifting, Retail or FF&E

Strong experience of strategic sourcing and supplier management

Excellent ability to manage and liaise with a variety of stakeholders

Experience of New Product Development

Ability to travel mainly to Europe
