Sourcing Manager (Fleet)

A hands-on role, you will possess a background in Fleet Procurement or Automotive Procurement, enabling you to manage the Fleet refresh. You will need a gregarious and confident personality as you will need to build relationships with senior stakeholders.

Based in the heart of London, this cutting-edge engineering solutions company is seeking a Sourcing Manager to work in a brand-new office and business unit, supporting front-line activities to the Emergency Services sector. With a division spend in excess of £900m per annum, this FTSE 250 business supports clients across Defence, Training and Emergency Services and you would be responsible for supporting the services required across the Emergency Services.

As Sourcing Manager (Fleet) your key responsibilities will be:

•    To be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all LFB fleet Supply Chain needs
•    Responsible for all aspects of the LFB asset replacement project, developing market analysis for future requirements, managing the generation of the technical specs, running the tender process, undertaking evaluation, contracting the solution, managing the delivery and handover to the operational team
•    Establish contract/framework agreements with suppliers
•    Support the delivery of sufficient levels of quality goods and services to sustain operational output within the project budget
•    Develop strategic relationship plans for key suppliers that capture the business requirements and work with the suppliers' strengths
•    Undertake sourcing activity and establish framework agreements
•    Select suppliers that are the right size and shape for the business requirement

To work for this exciting growing FTSE 250 organisation you will require the following experience: 

•    Minimum of two years of Fleet or Automotive Procurement,
•    Resolute knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain Management processes MCIPS or working towards
•    More than five years of Procurement experience
•    Project management capability
•    Supplier management experience
•    IT literate and good keyboard skills
•    High excel proficiency
•    Sound knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain Management processes
