A leading housing association that is in the middle of an exciting growth plan is recruiting a Procurement Manager on an 18-month fixed term contract to aid them in supporting the indirect spend. This is an opportunity to work in an organisation that values procurement.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a Procurement Manager role that will give you great exposure to multiple indirect categories; looking after a large spend you will be constantly engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. As Procurement Manager your key responsibilities  will be:

  • To deliver a responsive, high quality, commercial and customer focused procurement service
  • Support the development of the culture through robust and effective personal and team performance management arrangements
  • Manage procurement projects in compliance with agreed policies, procedures, project management methodologies and other internal controls to ensure that high standard of probity is adhered to across procurement activity
  • Report to the Senior Procurement Manager on all aspects of business activities within the relevant Procurement remit, including advising of new and innovative changes to the supply markets
  • Implement strategies to manage procurement risk
  • Maintain the contracts register
  • Provide supplier appraisal information to business groups

To work for this exciting growing housing association you will require the following experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of procurement legislation, standards, procedures and techniques relevant to a Registered Provider
  • Experience of and technical ability in a dynamic and developing procurement environment
  • Proven experience of managing and undertaking large public or private sector procurement projects
  • Experience of negotiating and managing contracts to deliver savings
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience successfully delivering in a customer focused business, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Experience of building and managing effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

In applications we will be looking for:

  • Dynamic procurement professionals with a minimum of 2 years public sector experience
  • Deep understanding of OJEU framework
  • Highly motivated individuals that can support an organisation that is growing

This exciting role as a Procurement Manager is paying up to £48,000 basic salary with the following benefits:
