Application Operations Manager

Must have a technical background including, devOps and delivery experience

This role is a leadership role overseeing teams across Software Development, Test and Agile Delivery. Youd ensure the company has the right people, skills and partnerships for effective application delivery.

This includes creating the right conditions for improving the performance of individuals, seeking out and integrating suitable partnerships.

What the role involves:

* Ensuring software development chapters have the required, support, environment and skills for effective delivery
* Clear approach to talent growth and management and to succession planning within the team
* Support Chapter Leads to promote a high-performance culture
* Technical resource availability is effectively planned, managed and matched to the requirements of the business portfolio
* In conjunction with Chapter Leads, Delivery and Architecture, technical or process issues within development squads are effectively resolved
* Appropriate partner arrangements are made when necessary, contracted responsibly and effectively managed

Knowledge:

* DevOps principles including self-service tools, processes and culture
* Lean and agile principles, and Scrum and Kanban methodologies
* Some knowledge of technologies used would be advantageous. These include: Java, Spring, SpringBoot, PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, AWS, MarkLogic, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Packer
* Design and development approaches to meet non-functional requirements, including security, compliance, load and performance, accessibility and usability
