Lead Buyer, Clinical - Leading Process Outsourcing Firm - £55,000 - £65,000 - London

Our client is a leading organisation in their field and are on track for record growth in the coming 12 months. They work with a plethora of blue-chip clients and have won contracts with leading Health and Medical companies, including government institutions such as the NHS.

They are looking for a seasoned buyer of clinical products including radiology, machinery and surgical items that has dealt with stakeholders at all levels including surgeons and doctors.

With the role will be client-focussed, the client must have strong organisational and communication skills. Naturally the successful candidate must also be capable of working end to end on procurement projects as they are expected to be the key point of contact between suppliers and clients.

What does this role entail?

As the Lead Buyer for Clinical products, you will be responsible for client and supplier engagements in order to grasp a firm understanding of your client's wants and needs. From there you'll manage the process of purchasing clinical products for your clients, including sourcing, vetting and negotiating with potential suppliers as well as the post-purchase relationship.

What skills and experience are required?

• Excellent team management and team development skills
• Strong background in Purchasing/Procurement, having led or managed processes
• Excellent people skills with the gravitas and confidence to lead engagements and influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent technical knowledge of platforms including Ariba, Sap and Coupa
• Degree educated - 2.1 or above
