A major travel group urgently requires a Category Lead to own a sub-category of procurement spend across a diverse portfolio of products and services.

This is a key position which calls for a high degree of commercial expertise, deep market and supplier knowledge, strong business and financial acumen, phenomenal interpersonal skills and an ability to thrive in a changeable and demanding environment.

Role & Requirements:

• Work across multiple operating companies within the group, ensuring the delivery of effective, robust and compliant procurement
• Lead on strategic activities, including category planning, sourcing and risk management, plus act as single point of contact for senior stakeholders
• Develop 3-5 year category plans, implementing local and global sourcing strategies for all external spend related activity
• Previous airline experience is essential - applicants without this will not be considered
