My client who are in the Waste Management industry, based in the Stanford Le Hope area are looking for a Export Clerk to join their busy Seafreight Export commodities department.
The working hours are 08:30-17:00 Monday-Friday with free parking available on site.
Experience within Sea Freight is essential.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Make Multiple / Single Full Container Load bookings with shipping lines.
• Loading shipments onto Sigma Freight System
• Handling new bookings /transport/ booking amendments from Customers / Carriers
• Check Shipped on Board Status for all Sailings
• Completing Export Customs Entries
• Send bill of lading instructions to carriers.
• Send draft Bills of Lading to clients
• Print / Email and post any relevant shipping documentation/invoices to clients
• Make sure all rates are on files and are correct
• Pass purchase invoices
• Raise sales invoices
• Interacting with customers, colleagues and visitors alike in a positive and professional manner at all times
• May be required to work additional hours outside of the normal working hours during busy periods.
• Any other adhoc tasks as and when required and instructed by the Line Manager and/or Directors etc.
This person must be:
• Computer Literate (Outlook / Excel / Word / Sigma(Training Given) / My Customs(Training Given)
• Able to cope under pressure whilst still ensuring the customer is given the best possible service.
• Work in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task.
• Able to work as a team player as well as working from their own initiative.
• Be able to deal with problems in a professional manner.
