£25,000- £29,000 Depending on experience

Reed Procurement are working with a leading services business with a presence globally. 

They have a large procurement team made up of Procurement Leads, Category Managers and Buyers and are now looking for an additional Assistant Buyer to support this team. 

You will be working in a leading procurement function and learning best practice procurement techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and progress, and this client supports career progression. 

Supporting the Indirect Category team you will be:

- Assisting the category leads in the management of spend relating to all indirect categories ( HR, Facilities, Logistics, Marketing, Security, Professional Services etc) 

- Use SAP to raise purchase orders, amend contracts, update pricing, etc

- Taking ownership for a resolving supplier / stakeholder queries 

- Liaise with preferred suppliers

- Liaise with internal stakeholders

- Running reports from SAP and using excel eg- Spend date, Supplier use 

- Work on supplier reduction projects, eg going out to tender and selecting preferred suppliers

- Help role out new contracts across the business, leading stakeholders to use the correct suppliers

- Last but not least, you will be given the opportunity to work on your own procurement projects! Completing the full process from stakeholder briefing, supplier selection and appointment!
