Job Title: Contracts Manager (Training Programmes)

This post will be York based, require significant travel across the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding (YNYER) area and regular travel to the York Office with occasional travel within the wider Yorkshire and Humber region.

Faculty Unit: External Funding

Hours Per week/Status: 37 Hours per week

Contract Term: Fixed Term until 31st July 2021 (52.14 weeks per year)

Salary: £28,741 - £32,348 per annum (Point HS033 - HS037)

Calderdale College is looking to recruit a Contracts Manager who will be responsible for the engagement and day to day performance management of supply chain/subcontractor agreements with a clear focus on ensuring a high quality employer journey on the Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) programme.

The role will consist of delivering innovative, eligible solutions to maximising SSW programme delivery by the supply chain, conducting regular performance reviews of subcontractors and ensuring all aspects of projects delivered by subcontractors are managed in accordance with Subcontract Agreements in a timely manner.

You will demonstrate exceptional organisational and management skills, have the ability to lead and work as a part of a team where you will contribute and share knowledge and ideas and provide inspiration. You must have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills and be able to analyse data and develop and present reports.

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience of managing multiple subcontracts.
  • Experience of project funding and associated performance, evidence, data, quality and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding and local skills and business support landscape.
  • Experience of the workforce development agenda including mainstream adult skills.
  • Excellent contract management, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical and report-writing skills.
