The role will report to a Head of Operations Finance, managing 3 direct reports and leading them in owning allocated costs, acting as a trusted and effective business partner, as well as supporting one of the largest strategic programmes currently underway.
Role purpose:
* Acting as the lead finance contact for certain costs and providing complete financial management for these areas
* Full responsibility for end to end finance activities to support these areas of the business
* Completing month end accounting activities
* Ensuring business delivery and performance and driving action where performance does not meet expectations
* Providing actuals and future performance analysis
* Monitoring and driving cost saving initiatives, supporting the overall strategic plan
* Developing and mentoring a small team, ensuring they stay challenged and engaged
Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with a minimum 5 years PQE
* Strong mix of technical (balance sheet, cash flow P&L) and business partnering experience
* Knowledge of business strategy development, process management, budgeting and operations
* Proven track record managing and developing talent in a high performance business
* Excellent decision making skills, proactive and inquisitive mind set
* Clear, confident communicator, capable of influencing and challenging stakeholders
* Ability to identify issues and articulate proposals for change, coming up with creative solutions
