The Junior Buyer will be the precursor position to the fully fledged buyer level. You will be responsible for buying on of their biggest categories combining both own label and branded buying. You will work alongisde well known branded suppliers with negotiation at the forefront of your responsibilities in order to develop commercial and profitable ranges, maximising margin and category growth each year!

Description
As Junior Buyer you will be responsible for
- Developing commercial ranges, based on indepth analystis of historical data, research into current and future market conditions, customer behaviour, competitor analysis.
- Building commercial ranges through supplier selection, negotiation, price setting to ensure optimal margin and profitability combined with volume of sales
- Working alongside line manager to deliver on strategy from a tactical perspective.
- Working cross functionally with other business units including marketing, finance and supply chain to ensure optimal business understanding at all times, and adapting pland accordingly.
Profile
The Successful Junior Buyer Will
- Be from a reatil buying background, ideally with FMCG buying experience
- Be a strong negotiator with a track record of improving terms and negotiating with branded suppliers.
- Be Commercially minded, continuously looking for opportunities to improve gross margin and profitability for the business
- Be a team player, this is a very people focussed and collaboratvie culture and need people to help out where necessary - even if outside personal job requirements
- Be tenacious and committed and always work in the companies best interest.
- Be able to commute to West London
Job Offer

The salary on offer for the junior buyer is between £25-30k + bonus.
