Our client is a well-established Freight Forwarding and Logistics specialist with offices throughout England and Scotland. We are now looking to strengthen the team and are looking for a Sea Freight Imports Clerk to join the team at their Bradford office.

Working within a busy Air & Ocean department you will work within a team to receive bookings from agents / customers alike, to complete all ocean import requirements including customs clearance, duty/vat and all other processes involved.

Your role will involve

* Receiving bookings from customers / agents.
* Raising files
* Preparation of clearance instructions.
* Speaking to shipping lines / carriers.
* Checking vessel arrival dates.
* Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.
* Ensuring correct documentation is presented / obtained.
* Raising invoices to customers / agents.
* Raising duty / vat invoices.
* File Queries

To apply for this role, you must have previous experience gained from working for a freight forwarder. You must have sea imports experience ideally gained in consolidations. Understand the import processes such as bill of lading, import procedures, LCL and FCL deliveries and releases. You will have high customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
