Account Manager- procurement & supply

A Hampshire based procurement company are seeking an experienced Account Manager with experience in sourcing and purchasing. This is a varied and fast paced role which will fully utilise your expertise in negotiation with suppliers and management of key client accounts across the ordering process. This is a full-time permanent position based in Winchester offering a salary of circa £28,000 per year.

Working with clients across various industry sectors, you would be providing an integrated procurement and supply chain solution. Your role as an Account Manager is responsible for end-to-end account management working with key clients across all stages of the order. This includes identifying their needs, sourcing goods, quoting, follow-up and the purchase order/sales order.

In addition, you will provide logistic support which includes freight tracking and planning, liaising with freight forwarders and solving problems. The main skill set required are account management within procurement and supply so if you do not have the logistics knowledge, we are still interested in hearing from you.

Key to this role is actively identifying opportunities and promoting the company’s capabilities to current and potential clients.

• Building excellent client relationships that promote repeat business
• Sourcing and quoting best price / product / availability (with fast turnaround)
• Maintaining good relationships across freight forwarders and other service providers
• Building supplier networks on an international scale
• Meeting gross profit targets with assigned key clients and the sale of freight
• Identifying new opportunities with existing clients
