Strategic Bids Manager

A fantastic opportunity to join a leading professional services firm on a 12 month maternity cover contract with the possibility of full time thereafter.

Our client is looking for someone from a professional background who understands how the processes and systems work within a corporate environment, to join their team in Reading.

The role has a strong focus around bid preparation but also takes on a strategic overview. It's a soft sales environment working with the managers and partners to develop referrals and present to clients as part of the team.

You'll be involved in the documentation, planning, coordinating, writing and reporting - turning the technical jargon into easily understood proposals. You'll also be setting up and attending sales presentations and meetings, working on bids with new and existing clients and being responsible for reporting on the ongoing development of these opportunities.

It has a strong internal perspective so your warm and friendly personality will build rapport easily across different sections of the business and enable strong collaboration with your team members.

You must have:

• minimum of 2 years experience working with bids
• professional services background or similar with a strong work ethic
• commercial savviness
• strong communication skills both written and verbal
• excellent organisational ability with an eye for detail
• enjoy working in a team environment and supporting your colleagues
• confidence to hold your own and challenge the team where appropriate
• a zest for learning and development
• a friendly and can-do attitude
