A world renowned Education provider are recruiting an interim Procurement manager to start as soon as possible. If you are someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders across a business, covering direct and indirect spend - as well as contributing to the development of strategy.

Duties include:

  • Providing guidance on procurement and supplier selection
  • Leading the end to end management of the tender process for significant contracts effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to,
    • collating, issuing, receiving, opening, logging, evaluating and distributing documentation
    • organising any meetings,
    • drafting contracts,
    • tracking internal approvals
    • storing contract award information to ensure compliance
  • Working with stakeholders across to:
    • understand their needs to drive best value for money decisions
    • ensure significant contracts have appropriate and stretching KPIs which are focused on the delivery of world-class performance and value for money
    • provide day to day support in making contractual changes such as variation of terms, contract extensions and terminations
    • gain insight into the contract database reports to better manage the supplier database more efficiently
  • Internal controls
    • Monitoring adherence to policies and procedures
    • Overseeing the maintenance of the contract management database and production of the database reports
    • Work with stakeholders (including Accounts Payable) to consolidate the use of suppliers through to identifying suppliers to be removed from a) the supplier list, b) the database and c) the AP ledger
  • Managing a small team to assist with the work load
