Transactional Services Manager
Overview
This role is dedicated to delivering great service to senior business stakeholders and ensuring the business views the Finance team as strong and reliable ‘Business Partners’. The role is a pivotal interface for the business with Finance to safeguard the smooth running of core transactional processes essential for day to day business operations. The role requires a solid background in managing and leading a finance transactional team allied to strong interpersonal skills essential to work both within the finance team and the rest of the business. A substantial focus of this role will be around strong people leadership; hiring, developing and retaining a high performing team.
In this role you will
Lead and motivate a high performing team
Day to day management of team including recruitment, management and development
Act as primary interface between finance and the business for essential transactional services; a true finance business partner
Own specialist and vendor payment process/governance
Own sales invoicing and debtor chasing process and resolve issues when performance issues arise
Control specialist & sales tickets and resolution, progress, issues, achievement on KPIs and reporting/analysis
Problem solving day to day operational issues to support our commercial success and improve our specialist experience
Oversee the global expenses process:approval, payment, process and reporting
Bank reconciliations well understood and adhered to
Ledgers (purchase/sales ledgers) cleansed, reconciled and well managed
Maintain control over quality of ledgers and booking practice for departments/P&L/BS
Establish, own, communicate and ensure adherence to global processes for Finance Operational functions
Process improvements
Identify areas of weakness and ability to prioritise necessary change to help direct the Fin Ops Systems Implementation Manager
Regulatory
Subject matter expert for regulatory/compliance requirements across different jurisdictions
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
Work closely with Financial Controller around regulatory changes
Experience/skills
Significant team management experience with a track record of developing and motivating high performing teams
Process management and measurement
Experienced in dealing with senior stakeholders effectively
Minimum 3+ years industry experience working in managerial capacity
Experience managing compliance/governance controls Experienced user of multiple finance systems
Strong excel skills
Solid financial skills
