Supply Chain Coordinator - Japanese & Organic Fine Foods
West London, Acton
£25,000 - £28,000 based on experience + Benefits

Starting date: ASAP

A privately owned, independent UK company based in London. We are a brand holder and importer of a wide range of Japanese and European foods distributed to the health-food trade and major supermarkets in the UK as well as exported to over 50 countries. We work with specialist producers in Japan and Europe to develop authentic, organic vegan and free-from foods.

Reporting to Supply Chain Manager you will be working within the Supply Chain Team:

+ PO Management - Monitor all POs raised for inbound goods and ensure product arrives in line with ATP dates. Also raise and check all service POs to ensure correct costs are recorded for financial processing.
+ Inbound shipments - Arrange & monitor inbound shipments and administrate the related documentation from suppliers and freight forwarders internationally to facilitate customs clearance and legal compliance.
+ Outbound shipments - Support the Sales office team as needed to help facilitate on time deliveries to customer in the UK and rest of the world.
+ Shipment documentation - Ensure all documentation for inbound and outbound shipments are created and shared with the necessary stakeholders, to prevent any delays.
+ Supplier performance review - Support periodic reviews of third-party services, including warehousing, freight forwarders and transport providers.
+ Cost control - Always aim for the best service for the least cost. Achieve this by periodic review of available service providers and by conducting cost comparisons.
+ Supply Planning & Cross functional support - On an ad-hoc basis Supply Chain Team support as well as cross functional support will be needed.

Essential requirements:

+ Fluent written & spoken English.
+ Good written & spoken Japanese
+ 2 years minimum experience in import and export environments, with detailed knowledge of Import and export incoterms, practices and documentation.
+ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
+ Experienced user of ERP systems.
+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving.
+ Self-motivated team player, with good communication skills.

Desirable requirements:

+ Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems
+ Knowledge of organic import and export requirements

+ £25,000 - £28,000 based on experience

Working Hours and Office Atmosphere:

+ Working hours: 08.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour (unpaid) for lunch
+ We are an independent company and this role is based in an office with 26 people in total, with a wide range of ages and nationalities.
+ Facilities to prepare lunches in well-equipped staff kitchen
