Our client currently exports to over 85 countries worldwide with two subsidiary companies located in the USA and Germany. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all export administration for our customer orders are processed in compliance with international shipping regulations in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES;

•To support the management of the Central Distribution Warehouse, including the shipping administration team and warehouse.

•Ensure that all despatches are completed on a daily basis and that accurate freight charges are applied to invoices.

•To book all customers freight forwarders upon receipt of paperwork and ensure that all relevant export documentation is attached to accompany goods.

•To ensure that all outstanding collections are monitored on a weekly basis and forwarders chased on collections not made.

•To administer an effective booking system with customers/forwarders for smooth running of the Central Distribution Warehouse.

•To ensure that all invoice files are filed correctly with all required paperwork. With all necessary certificates of shipments on a daily basis. Proof of export obtained where necessary

•To ensure that Despatches and reporting are complete at the end of each working week and meeting with relevant despatch teams.

•To assist with the shipping/importing of container shipments to Head Office

To assist all Departments with any queries they may have with regards to their customer’s shipments.

•To continually review and update on Legislation with regards to International Shipping and our Obligations as an organisation

•As a registered document signer, provide export documentation service as required.

•Keep up-to-date with developments in business information and legislation affecting export.

Knowledge/experience

• Thorough knowledge/experience of International Shipping to global markets.

• Experience of administering a Central Distribution Warehouse.

• Knowledge and understanding of Commodity/ Tariff Codes

• Knowledge and understanding of Legal obligations, terms Importation requirements to USA and Inter State Shipping

Skills/abilities

• Computer literate – experienced using Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

• Formal training with regards to shipping, terms, requirements

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
