Finance Manager - Accounts, Operations, Compliance

Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will report remotely to the NY based CEO, with 3 direct reports (accounts assistant, credit controller, and contracts administrator). Working closely with the Sales Director, Head of People, Operations Manager, Marketing Manager and the external accounts.

Priority tasks:
* Hands on involvement in transactional Accounting and the full management accounts process
* Production and explanation of all month-end reporting, management information, creating annual budgets across the business, managing cash flow, preparing for year-end and liaising with auditors, along with bookkeeping and day-to-day finance operations.
* Providing the business with analysis, financial strategy, assisting the CEO in carrying out future growth plans and taking the lead in financial projects.
* Lead various cost-saving initiatives and the year end Audit (Nov 3oth)
* Managing, developing, improving and streamlining the accounts department's processes, controls and systems.
* Liaising directly with clients, particularly start-ups and devising solutions for high risk clients
* Software used: Xero, RSM, Engage, Bullhorn, Cube19
The Ideal Individual
* Will be experienced in a hands-on roll within an SME, within recruitment or professional services.
* Qualified or Finalist in ACCA, ACA or CIMA
* Interested in developing with a business to FC and long-term FD
* Able to interact confidently with people at all business levels from trainee to board members
* Sociable and looking for an interactive, fast paced environment
* Extremely well organised and proficient at juggling multiple projects and time zones.
